Extrawheel Voyager Single-Wheel Trailer

Mon­go­lia was the first ser­i­ous out­ing for the Extrawheel Voy­ager trailer, which I’ve been tak­ing on rides with me for the last year or so. Five weeks in such chal­len­ging off-road con­di­tions really pushed the trailer to its design limits.

I’ve col­lec­ted my thoughts on the trailer, which Andy and I helped to develop through prototype-testing and improve­ment sug­ges­tions. The new design fea­tures numer­ous sig­ni­fic­ant improve­ments — these aren’t just token tweaks, but a thor­ough over­haul of the entire luggage-carrying sys­tem, as well as small touches that make the Voy­ager a real game-changer in the (admit­tedly small) world of single-wheel trailers.
